How pleasant to go to a friend on a visit!
I go to my friend, we walk on the grass,

But the cheerful and the gay, man,
Fal, la, la, &c.
Here's a bottle and an honest friend!
What wad ye wish for mair, man?

Believe me, happiness is shy,
And comes not aye when sought, man.
This is a lovely modern poem, I'd love to know who the author is...
